Education and Experience

Mr. Paletta graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1976 with a degree in Economics. He obtained a law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill in 1980.

Over the past 38 years, Mr. Paletta has successfully represented hundreds of disabled individuals in there efforts to obtain Social Security disability benefits. Most of these cases have been at the Hearing level before an Administrative Law Judge. However, Mr. Paletta has also represented disabled clients before the Social Security Appeals Council, the United States District Court, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Virtual office

Several years ago Mr. Paletta sold the law office he built in 1985. Today Mr. Paletta operates a “virtual” office that has no physical location.  Mr. Paletta has meeting sites in Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Boone North Carolina to meet with clients as needed.  Mr. Paletta does not maintain office hours at any location.  An appointment must be scheduled via phone or email.

The Chapel Hill North Carolina meeting location serves the cities of Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough, Pittsboro, Creedmoor, Burlington, and the Counties of Chatham, Durham and Orange.

The Raleigh North Carolina meeting location serves the cities of Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Knightdale, Clayton, Apex, Fuquay Varina, Holly Springs, Wendell, Wilson, and the counties of Wake, Franklin, Nash, Wilson, Johnston, Harnett, Granville and Lee.  

The Boone North Carolina meeting location serves the Towns of Boone, Blowing Rock, Jefferson, West Jefferson, Sparta, Wilkesboro, North Wilkesboro, and the Counties of Ashe, Alleghany, Watauga and Wilkes.
