Education and Experience

Mr. Paletta graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1976 with a degree in Economics. He obtained a law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill in 1980.

Over the past 34 years, Mr. Paletta has successfully represented hundreds of disabled individuals in there efforts to obtain Social Security disability benefits. Most of these cases have been at the Hearing level before an Administrative Law Judge. However, Mr. Paletta has also represented disabled clients before the Social Security Appeals Council, the United States District Court, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Virtual office

Several years ago Mr. Paletta sold the law office he built in 1985. Today Mr. Paletta operates a “virtual” office that has no physical location.  Mr. Paletta has meeting sites in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Boone and West Jefferson to meet with clients as needed.  Mr. Paletta does not maintain office hours at any location.  An appointment must be scheduled via phone or email.

The Raleigh North Carolina meeting location serves the cities of Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Knightdale, Clayton, Apex, Fuquay Varina, Holly Springs, Wendell, Wilson, and the counties of Wake, Franklin, Nash, Wilson, Johnston, Harnett, Granville and Lee.

The Chapel Hill North Carolina meeting location serves the cities of Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough, Pittsboro, Creedmoor, Burlington, and the counties of Durham, Chatham and Orange. 

The Boone North Carolina meeting location serves the cities of Boone, Blowing Rock, Wilkesboro, North Wilkesboro, and the counties of Watauga and Wilkes.

The West Jefferson North Carolina meeting location serves the cities of Jefferson, West Jefferson, Sparta, and the counties of Ashe and Alleghany.
